Chewbacca in July
from 14:00 to 16:15 on July 2nd, 2004
Chewbacca was sleeping under the triangular roof which was newly made.
Half an hour has passed, but Chewbacca showed no signs of getting up.
An hour has passed and he remained the same.
After one and half hours, he still kept sleepng.
It is the first time that he kept sleeping for more than two hours in the
afternoon.
He finally got up at four o'clock, which is two hours after I arrived.
He walked a bit slowly to the front door and waited for the keeper there.
Chewbacca moved for ten minutes or so this day.
The keeper came out at four fifteen and unlock the door.
It' wise enough for you not to move on such a hot day, Chewbacca.
Light and Shadow
The sunlight streaming through the reed screen roof changed with time.
The sunlight pattern on Chewbacca changed, too.
Is Chewbacca going to get up?
Got up and moved slowly
He came ouf of the three-cornered place
He is peeking into the house through the 'viewport'.

For five minutes in front of the door
Grooming
Listening carefully or Biting

I'll go home.
I'm waiting for the keeper to unlock the door.
After the door opened slightly, I can open it by myself.
Chewbacca has returned.
from 9:45 to noon on July 18th, 2004
Chewbacca was having a morning sleep at a quarter to ten when I arrived.
He has already finished his breakfast.
He turned over a few times during his sleeping, however, he didn't get
up.
He has been sleeping for at least two hours.
I wonder when he woke up this day.
His leftover food in the hut
They are probably the fragments of a carrot and a sweet potato.

Sleeping Chewbacca
Chewbacca seems to be fast asleep (.9:50 a.m.)
He turned over and he's on his back
The sunlight streams through the reed screen and
the fence beind Chewbacca seems to be patterned with the feathers of a
peacock..
Zooming a bit of his forefeet
Chewbacca who is assimilated into the ground.
The reed screen at three-cornered seen from the other side
Chewbacca is sleeping deeply under it.
To dear Chewbacca
It is the best way for you to get into the shade and lie still
not to let yourself too hot.
I hope you'll overecome the heat wave this summer.
(The thermometer has read more than 30C for more than a month. -Aug. 8-)
