I've gnawed off the cord which binds a swinging log to an oak tree.

He is biting and chewing a part of the fallen cord.

I suppose Chewbacca has gnawed the cord in the morning,
because he was fast asleep when I arrived in the afternoon(about a quarter past one).

A keeper suspended the log again after he let Chewbacca go back into the house.
