Hiroki
in 2003
part 1

The Kanazawa Zoo in Yokohama City
May 3rd, 2003

Hiroki was sleeping deeply at least for three hours and a half,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
He suddenly got up at two in the afternoon and began to move energetically.

The carp-shaped streamers in the zoo
(Such carp-shaped streamers are raised for some days including Children's Day on May 5 in Japan.)

Welcome!

Hiroki kept this position for five minutes.
Are you still sleeping, Hiroki?

Looking at him from a little distance......

Thinking Hiroki?!

* * * * *

Yawned

Sleeping Hiroki

(He kept sleeping for more than three and a half hours.)

How itchy!

Hiroki's rear feet are pigeon-toed when he scratch
his back, too.
He changed his face a little, but he didn't
move his feet.
Then he changed his position and scratched with his "hand".
Imposing Hiroki!
You look like a sea calf who is having a rest on the land, Hiroki.

(One stray sea calf appeared in the river in Tokyo one summer day in 2002 and he bacame a very popular sea calf. Afterwards, he moved to two rivers near Tokyo and has been there for more than a year.)

Hiroki is scratching his back

and head againt the wall.

Lay on his stomach
(He kept his position like this for about five minutes.)

Even well-rounded Hiroki can be such thin like this?!

From another angle

From a little distance.....
From the right side
He moved his face.
                      From the left side
He looked thinner when he lay on his chin
on the ground.
He looked a little round as he raised his face.
From the front face

Did you sleep, Hiroki?

Lay on his stomach again

After digging hard, he took a little rest and yawned.

Hearty Yawn

Hiroki, the inside of your mouth is clear pink., isn't it?
