Chewbacca in September

I have two special days this month.
One is the anniversary of my coming to the Tama zoo (Sep.4)
I don't know how many visitors know that, though.
The other is Respect-for-senior-citizens Day, which most people know.

It's still hot, and so I sleep a lot.

A bill like this was put up two weeks before
the Respect-for-senior-citizens Day.


It says,"Chewbacca, congratulations on your long-life!
He turns 28!
He was born in March in 1985, and he is the oldest wombat in Japan. .
He likes to eat sweet potatoes and bread.
He digs the ground, and he plays with the linen sack, too.
He does like the logs.

I have one more thing to tell you.
A new linen sack was attached at the roof recently.
I like it.






My legs got longer?!

The old one is on the ground.

I sometimes use both of them at the same time.

I'm sleeping on my handmade bed.

Though I slept for more than four hours one day, I moved my legs, sleeping.






I suddenly covered my body with soil,


groomed,


and it sometimes happened that I opened my eyes.












I'll got up now.

I went to see the wallaroos' pen, and


I brushed my teeth .








I relaxed in front of my room for a while..









I walked around the pen.

Walked on the Chewbaccawalk a couple of times.

I stepped on the stage and posed.






I stepped down from the stage.

I was waiting for the keeper.


Here she comes!
