Chewbacca at the end of April

April 29th,
Today is a national holiday, and a lot of people came to the Tama Zoo.

They say that April 29 has been called "Greenery Day" for about 20 years until last year,
and they began to call it "Day of Showa" from this year.
"Greenery Day"was moved to May 4th.
I don't know why, but I don't care.

However....
I wonder why we don't have "Brown Day"?

I have to tell you that the pole part of the ball toy was missing.
Who made it into "a poor ball toy"?
It's got to be me...

around 13:20

I was sleeping under the roof, with my back to the audience.

The visitors were glad that I soon changed my position.
I wonder if they feel happy when they can see my face?
Some said that I was a kind of healing animal.
　

　

around 13:30

I woke up and suddenly groomed.
I received an ovation.
　

After grooming, I came out from under the roof.

I walked toward the ball toy which was near the fence.

The visitors expected me to play with the ball toy, however,
I didn't play with it but slept with it, grooming and stretching, sometimes.

You can see that the pole part was missing.

I woke up at 13:50.
Sorry, I kept you waiting.

I began to play with the ball toy at 13:50.
It rolled down the ramp and reached the glass wall while I was moving it.
　

　

　

　

I tried hard to push ahead with it, but failed.

An hour and a half later, I tried again.
I finally succeeded in getting it out from the pocket at the glass wall,
and moved it to the oak tree quickly.

　

I stood on the ball toy trying to reach for the rope for five minutes or so.
Since I made a stepping-stone of the ball toy, some visitors said,
"Chewbacca is smart!"
　　

　　

I felt like moving the ball toy again.

　

I moved it to the fence behind the roof and moved it back to the tree.

around 15:30
The ball toy was caught in the stones and I gave up moving it.

Afterwards I slept by the tree for a short time.
　

The stage and the bed

I slept a bit on the bed.
　

I began to move on the stage.

The keeper appeared!

around 16:15
I heard the keeper's foot steps when I was in front of the door.

I thought that he came to open the door of my room, however,
he entered the wallaroos' pen to clean it.
I hurried to the keeper.

　

I've lost sight of him.　
　

Which way did he go?
　

This way!? No. He seemed to move.....
　

I chased him.
　

I thought he had gone.....
Actually he went toward my room and was opening the door.
I hurried to my room.

When I reached the room, the door had already opened.

I went home at around 16:20.
