Chewbacca in February

February 5th

It was warm and comfortable for winter today
though we had snow in Tokyo the day before yesterday.
Snow still lay on the ground in my enclosure.




By the way, one of the three pillars of my roof fell down when I touched the roof.
(One of the four pillars had been lost last year, and the roof has had only three pillars since then.)
The roof didn't collapse though only two pillars are left.

I'm honest. I just touched it.
Actually I was surprised that it suddenly fell down,
because I just touched it when I stood upright.

I wonder if the keeper will think that I bit it and pulled it hard?
All of you who witnessed the scene, please stand up for me!
In fact, there was only one visitor, though.

I was lucky that the fallen pillar became my body pillow, though.
It's now my Teddy Bear!

In my hut

I was sleeping in my hut around 13:30.
Did you find that my 'hand' sometimes changed its position?


　

　

　　　

I got up and groomed, and then walked out of the hut.

I went to the door to see the inside of the room as usual.

A thinking wombat

You know I like thinking, and I thought a couple of times today.

I thought sitting on the ground mixed with snow for ten minutes or so.


　


I thought a bit in my hut, too.
　


I thought even when I was playing with the ball toy.
　

Today's job

My job today was moving the muddy ball toy.

I moved the ball toy again.
15:10-

I moved the ball toy, which rested in front of my roof at first, to the big tree.
Since the ball toy, which was on the wet ground with snow, was caked with mud,
my face got muddied during moving it.

Since I moved behind the ball toy, you'll see it now.

On the stage
around 16:00

I hesitated to go on the stage(bed) today since snow lay on it.
I went on it for a short time, though.

Hi! I'm Chewbacca with muddy face.
　

A poor pillar...

As I had already told you, I didn't break the roof, but just touched it.
As soon as the pillar fell down, I hugged it.
Happily I've got a new Teddy Bear!

I wonder how this pillar will be tomorrow?

I dashed for the door.


The visitors only could take a picture of my backside since I ran extremely fast.
